This is a recipe my Mom found ages and ages ago and inflicted on us. We actually liked it.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 head cabbage, chopped
- 1 can condensed tomato soup
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- brown ground beef, onion and celery. drain fat as it accumulates.
- in a 1.5 quart casserole, alternate layers of ground beef mixture with chopped cabbage
- pour undiluted tomato soup over top
- cover and bake at 350°F for about 1 hour
Comments
Makes 4 servings.

"The house smelled like a tenement to me, delicious to my husband. Add freshly ground pepper and favourite herbs."
